In case you were wondering where Millie the cat was on the blog, I included the above picture. She hates to have her picture made so the photo selection is slim. Millie did give me a sweet gift this week. I had just come home from work. My phone rang and I grabbed it and sat down on the steps to chat. I got up, walked around a bit and kept thinking that my butt was wet. That is because it was. I had just sat in cat throw up! This was quickly followed by my key incident. I thought I'd take an hour before dinner and sit by the neighbor's pool. I put on a swimsuit and headed to one of our outdoor storage closets to get my chair. I go to unlock the door, and the key breaks off in the lock. This is also the key that unlocks every door to the house so I was then locked out of my house in a bathing suit, no cover up and a husband on an airplane flying through the sky. Nice! I did track down a neighbor with the extra key, but I was briefly panicked at the idea of being locked out in the heat with not much to cover up with!
Great hot week here in Memphis! Lucky for us, we have a plentiful water spring so haven't reached the water "shortage" that Atlanta has. Speaking of watering, I went out this morning with Tahoe to turn the sprinklers on. After setting the sprinkler in the yard, I turned around to turn the water on. To my surprise when I turned back around to check the strength of the stream, water was shooting quite forcefully straight out of the sprinkler at Tahoe as he was trying to pooh. Poor dog!
My victory of the week was returning to the same course I ran last Saturday to try it again and thank God, I didn't feel great at the end but I wasn't feeling close to death.
Happy Saturday!
You have had an interesting week! I had a similar incident a while back of locking myself out of the house in my night gown and robe. I went to take the trash out and the wind blew the door closed. I found an unlocked (not very common at our house) side door or would have had to go to a neighbor's to call someone.
ReplyDeleteMichael and Kate may visit this weekend. Michael is waiting to see if he has business in Davis.
Take care,
Love, Jeannie (MOM)
I don't know and vice versa, but I was reading Kim's blog and clicked on your blog and thought it was funny and interesting that your cat's name is the same as my daughter's. Great pick!
ReplyDeleteWhere is Tahoe? I want to see some photos of that beast.
