Old Friends Are Always the Best!

If someone had told me in early elementary school that the boys I was growing up with would marry women who would become life-long friends to me, I never would have believed them.   We went to the mountains for the weekend to relax and reconnect.  For me, this was the first time I'd really been able to spend time with these girls since moving back.  I really almost didn't go because (surprise) I was tired and overwhelmed by the stress of getting me ready and DM out the door to Mimi's.  David came to the rescue and organized the entire house on Thursday to make sure I made the trip.  And I was beyond blessed to have been back with these encouraging friends.  In so many ways, each of us is a unique individual, but we share a rich past and hopefully, an even richer future.

No pictures of me this time.  I was the one behind the camera this year.

  1. Well I'm certainly glad you did go because I enjoyed DM's visit. She is quite the cute little character. Was this racoon actually inside the cabin??? Hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

  2. Aw, I miss all of those beautiful girls! I hope y'all had a blast. The shot of the raccoon chowing down on Cracker Jacks made me laugh out loud. That's priceless!
