We go out of town and . . .

. . . She finally takes off!
Before I was even pregnant, David and I often discussed how important it was for our marriage for us to continue to get away as a couple after we had a child.  Before leaving last week for our first big "childless" trip, we both agreed DM would walk while we were gone and we were right.  It broke my heart to not be home for her first steps but at least she shared them with her Grandma, who was gracious enough to fly across the country to care for our little love!

  2. Yep, I knew she would walk while you all were gone. She's doing pretty good.....she'll build up her speed so she will be as fast as she is on her knees.

We went to Cabo for our anniversary and had a blast but it was so hard being away from her!

  4. Saying goodbye to little Darsey May was one of the hardest things things I've done in a long time. My time with her was amazing. Thank you for trusting her in my care. We had a wonderful time. I agree that it is very important to get away as a couple. Important to you and your children. Love you all!!

  5. Oh no! I had a feeling that would happen, too. I know it must have broken your heart to miss her first steps, but you and David needed that vacation. Yea, Darsey May! I'm so excited for her!
