3 Months
Adventures in our new home
Stepping out the front door to see this reminded me we're in quite the "natural" neighborhood.
And peeking around the corner to see a smoke-filled kitchen only four minutes after putting my Trader Joes BBQ pizza in the oven, which I'd been craving all day, was a good sign that the oven doesn't work properly.

Our new temporary home
While I'm not a huge fan of the house we ended up in, it is in a great neighborhood that we'd consider buying in. The neighborhood was built in 79-81 and has a nice variety of traditional and contemporary homes. We are in a contemporary home!
This is our kitchen floor. Yes, it tiles covered with leaves.
This lovely spiral staircase leads up to our bedroom.
This bar is placed in the family room and currently houses computer equipment, diapers, and liquor. If anyone has any fun decorating ideas for a bar in the middle of the family room, please send them my way!

Update!
Sorry no pictures right now. The chaos that has ensued in our life has forced the camera to the back burner.
The Bad:
We arrived at our new rental home in Berkeley Lake with the entire family (DM, Tahoe, Millie, and my mom) in tow for the inspection to discover the home was about to go into foreclosure - not a place we wanted to rest our heads during the year that we're trying to calmly get settled back in to life in Atlanta with Darsey May.
The Good:
- Within 48 hours of putting our house on the market in Memphis, we had a contract! If all goes well early this week, the deal will be done. Very bitter sweet!
- We have the BEST moving crew who has been quite understanding! We're already talking to them about moving us out of the rental when we buy a house.
- David works for a company that has been supportive of our nightmarish situation.
- We also have family and friends who have taken us in for dinners / clothes washing. (I only packed enough stuff for myself and DM for two days.)
- And most importantly, we found a new rental in Roswell that is a MUCH better fit for us. It is just a walk from the Chattahoochee, has TONS of walking / running trails, and the owner lives right in the neighborhood. Now, it is quite contemporary and will provide much entertainment over the next year, but it is still a great house that will be a good fit for us while we get settled. Our belongings arrive at 8:00 am sharp and we get to check out of the hotel. I am so excited!
Promise to post house and DM pictures soon.

Happy Easter!
The Redeemer - This video has been around a while but is worth watching again, especially if you're a Christian, a parent, or an athlete that is feeling lazy.
